Why Danny Phantom??

Growing up with Dann Phantom was brilliant Butch Hartman put his all into this show and it has been able to stand up very well to the passage of time. I think many of us can relate to Danny, he was a really good representation of kids in high school, with a crush on the popular girl wanting to fit in despite being a superhero out of necessity.

How I made this Cosplay:

Danny was a pretty easy cosplay to make, I used a simple bodysuit pattern from Yaya Han as a base but used a regular sleeve pattern as it had a better fit. I didn't want a classic suit, but rather one I could put my own spin on. Giving a character my own touch helps me feel even more at home in the cosplay, for Danny, I changed up the sleeves a little and adjusted the white waist part of his suit into white hip fins. This gave my bodysuit a bit more color pop and made it less busy to add a white belt later on, making this change also gave us more freedom with our shoes. We gave them a yin-yang vibe and swapped the color pallets for each foot.

Ending Thoughts

I really enjoy wearing Danny, he's likely one of my favorite comfort cosplays and is great for long days on the con floor. I'm hoping to expand on him later on by adding the Fenton Thermos plus the crown from Control Freaks as a fun extra.
