Jubilant Review and Unboxing

I have a lot of time on my hands as of late, yay lockdown, ugh. Unfortunately just as things started closing my main sewing machine, a Brother SE400 needed to go in for repair. When dropping it off I was told it would be a couple of months until it came back due to things being shut down. Won’t lie, I was devastated, but she needed to be repaired if I was going to do anything.

A week later Dante and I received our first stimulus, after talking for a little while we decided to make a trip to Madison to visit a sewing shop that was still open. I spent about an hour looking over the machines they had, pouring over features, strengths, and every little detail to make sure I selected a machine that would last me for quite some time. Eventually, I settled on the Jubilant from Baby Lock.

~ Review ~

I’ve been using this sewing machine for almost three years now, she has been quite the workhorse helping me crank out many cosplays. It was especially helpful when I was making my 2 new cosplays for Light Fantastic 2020(Read about that event here), and making lots of progress with Spyro. I’ve punched through layers of twill, canvas, duck cloth, and more with this machine and had zero problems.

The many stitch styles have been a great help in adding accents to different cosplays, with options ranging from stars to leaves and vines.
